Beijing locals showed their great interest to the historic past and modern development of Moscow at an exhibition in Beijing called "Moscow: yesterday, today and tomorrow". It was arranged as part of direct and twin city relations between the capitals of the two countries. The exhibition sponsored by the Beijing and Moscow archive departments has 196 various exhibits on display. These include historic documents related to important events in the city's development, photographs, which show historic and modern streets of Moscow, architectural ensemble, museums, theatres and inhabitants of the capital. According to the sponsors, more than four thousand people visited the exhibition in the first day on Thursday. The Beijing residents are interested in Russian art, sports and music. They display great interest in the education system of Russia, prospects of city planning in Moscow, a twin city of Beijing.
