Youth pilgrimage across "Russian sacred places"

Representatives of the "Support of the Youth Initiatives Center" and seminarians from theological academies went on pilgrimage across the "Russian Sacred Places" from Moscow on Tuesday. The pilgrimage route includes Ryazan, Tambov, Saratov, Vladimir, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Chuvash (Russian Western regions). Participants in the action came from various regions of Russia. Representative of the Department of Interchurch Relations, Deacon Pavel /Feoktistov/ also takes part in the action. It is the second action organized jointly with the Moscow Patriarchate. The first action "Orthodox Slavonic Brethren Passage" took place last year. The route of the trip went via Slavonic cities with its final destination in Greece. The cities on the route of the pilgrims were sacred for every orthodox believer and were of great historic and religious significance. Trips of this kind are organized to help the young understand Orthodoxy.
