World largest aquarium to be built in Moscow

World’s largest aquarium will be built near the Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow by September 1, 2003, Joseph Ordzhonikidze, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for foreign relations said on Friday.

This is going to be the largest attraction of this kind in the whole of the world.

The aquarium’s square will make up over 13,000 square meters, the total square of the complex will be about 22,500 square meters. The aquarium will be 6 meters underground and about 10 meters high above the land surface. More than ten thousand fishes of different kinds, including 20 three-meter sharks, will be placed in the aquarium.
