On March 8, Colombian men forbidden to go into the streets

Antanas Motskus, mayor of the Colombian capital Bogota, known for his extraordinary actions, has issued one more extravagant decree. He ordered all men living in Bogota to stay home on March 8 in order to give an opportunity to Bogota’s women to be alone and avoid men in the streets and other public places.

Motskus, who originates from Lithuania, was already once elected as mayor, though he had to leave the political scene for a time, and then he became mayor again in 2000. He has already organized his “night without women” and “night without men.” However, at that time, it turned out that men could not invent anything amusing without women. Now, the action will be repeated for women. Therefore, the coming of International Women’s Day is just in the nick of time.
