Bear cubs are dormant in Moscow zoo

A male crane from the Moscow zoo has been perplexed because of the long thaw this February. It started making a nest for a prospective family before the determined time. A zoo spokesman says: “Now the crane is occupied with construction of the nest. But the hen crane is not going to lay eggs so far.” So, the future posterity is out of any danger. The zoo press-service informs, the warm weather that we are all experiencing this winter, has provoked the majority of the zoo animals to start “active marriage courting” before the traditional date. The birds living on the ponds of the Moscow zoo were the first to react to the unusually warm weather. Specialists even had to examine the den of the brown bear: early awakening from hibernation can be dangerous for the bear cubs. Fortunately, the brown bears are still dormant in the Moscow zoo despite the warm weather, Interfax news agency informs.
