Russia Doing All To Stave Off Anthrax

The Russian State Sanitary-Epidemiological Service is taking all steps in its power to prevent emergence of anthrax hotbeds, its spokesman said on Tuesday. Russian specialists have the relative expertise and are "ready to fight the disease", he said. Russia's Customs Committee is also doing its all to prevent anthrax from getting into Russia. Its managers say that immediately after the terrorist attacks in the United States the control on goods being imported to Russia has been toughened.
