The first public organisation founded in Grozny is a youth association called Vybor Molodyozhi, or Youth's Choice, reported Alla Vazayeva, the press secretary for the Chechen government, on Friday. According to the leader of the new organisation, 27-year-old Ruslan Maashev, Youth's Choice unites young people who respect the interests of their republic and don't want it to be associated with war and terrorism. For the time being, the newly founded organisation comprises 100 members. Maashev says their goal is to attract as many like-minded people as possible to restoration of civilian life in the republic.
