Vice-Premier Ilya Klebanov has declared that the sunken Kursk nuclear submarine will not be raised before October 4. In turn, Vice-Admiral Mikhail Motsak, in charge of the special-purpose expedition, reported that the towing of the submarine to the dock of the Roslyakovo ship-repair factory will take more time than planned. Motsak said that the worsening weather is the explanation. The barge-sub tandem will move at a speed of two knots/hour. The vice-admiral also noted that, in case of rough sea, the tandem may take refuge in the Teriberka bay.
