On Thursday Chinese President Jiang Zemin met the artists of the Bolshoi Theatre and thanked them for their remarkable performance in Beijing noting the highest standards of the Russian ballet school, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports. On Thursday the Bolshoi ballet dancers performed "Swan Lake" to the accompaniment of the Chinese Symphony Orchestra. Nadezhda Gracheva and Andrei Uvarov played the leading parts. The Bolshoi company is on a tour in Beijing from November 9 till November 18.
