Russian Border-guards Prevent Heroin Smuggling

Russian border-guards have prevented drug-traffickers' attempt to smuggle in Tajikistan a large batch of drugs - around 10 kg of heroin. On Thursday night, a border-guard unit detected three men trying to ford the Pyanj border river from the Afghani side at a stretch of the border guarded by the Moskovsky (Moscow) detachment. The intruders fled to Afghanistan, leaving a sack with 10 kg of heroin in the Tajik territory. The border-guards' press service noted that the confiscated heroin could make 10,000 people drug-addicts.
