Nuclear Reactor Of Kursk Nuclear Submarine To Be Cut Out Of Submarine's Hull In The Process Of Its Utilization

The nuclear reactor of the Kursk nuclear submarine will be cut out of the hull of the submarine in the process of its utilization, Vice-Premier of the government of Russia Ilya Klebanov who heads the state commission for investigating the causes of the loss of the Kursk stated on Friday. The submarine will be utilized at the Nerpa plant in the Murmansk Region (the north). The plan of the utilization of the submarine and of the raising of its first compartment will be worked out this November after the end of the investigative actions on the submarine which is now staying at Roslyakovo, Klebanov emphasized. He specified that it is intended to transport the Kursk to the Nerpa plant by sea.
