Terrorist who tried to make shoe bomb found the recipe on the Internet

Terrorist who tried to explode a bomb on the board of American Airlines’ plane, which was hidden in his shoe sole, said he found the recipe for the bomb on the Internet. He bought the materials necessary to prepare the bomb from a Czech citizen for 1.050 pounds sterling.

The bargain was concluded in Amsterdam, where the 28-year-old terrorist Richard Reid worked at that time. Afterwards, Reid went to France, where he bought a ticket for a Paris-Miami flight and made an attempt to commit a terrorist act.

However, the investigaters believe that the terrorist found the necessary information not only on the Internet. According to US special services, before his work in Amsterdam, Reid visited Israel, Pakistan, and probably Afghanistan, where he could have some contacts with Al-Qaeda terrorists, Annanova reports.
