Duma Official Rejects Political Motives In TV-6 Liquidation

Konstantin Kosachev, first deputy head of the Fatherland-All Russia faction in the State Duma, talked to an RBC correspondent and noted that he did not see any political motives in today's decision of the arbitration court about the liquidation of TV-6 television. The Duma deputy stated he was no reasons to consider this decision politically motivated. Kosachev stressed that this was a case connected with financial problems of this television channel only and the court's decision was made in strict accordance with current legislation. He noted that TV-viewers and employees of the company may have claims only against the legislation in this case. The Duma official noted that he personally was very sorry about this decision of the court and that he sympathized with this channel.
