Six old men were told they were pregnant

One of the British hospitals acknowledged on Thursday that it had sent letters to 30 patients by mistake, in which it was written that the patients were pregnant. The funniest thing here is that some of those letters were delivered to six old men. The messages were sent via a computer system, which automatically selected the letters for those patients, whose operations had been delayed.

“The girl, who was working with the system, chose a wrong option, that was a human factor,” – a spokeswoman for a hospital in Chesterfield and Northern Derbyshire counties said. The letters mentioned the reason of the delay, which was chosen by a hospital attendant. No one of the surprised patients was waiting for a child, a spokeswoman said. She also added, the mailing order had been changed so as to avoid the mistakes like that in the future.
