Case Of Virgo Tanker's Collision To Be Further Investigated

Court hearings in the Vladimir Ivanov case will be continued in St. John's (Canada) on January 18. Ivanov is the captain of the Virgo tanker that belongs to the Primorye Shipping Company (Russia). He was accused of manslaughter. According to prosecutors, the activities of Virgo's captain, second navigator and the sailor on duty led to the tanker's collision with the US Starbound trawler on August 5, 2001. Only Starbound's captain survived. Russian sailors object to all accusations and declare that no collision had taken place, the Vostok-Media news agency reported to RosBusinessConsulting.
