U.S. Boeing company to award stipend to a Russian student

Yekaterina Shkvarkina, a student of the flying apparatuses department at the Novosibirsk state technical university, was awarded a personal stipend (1,000 dollars) by the US Boeing company for good progress, participation in various conferences and publication of a number of scientific papers. Novosibirsk is a major industrial and scientific centre in Western Siberia.

An official presentation of the prize will take place today. Taking part in the ceremony will be pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Viktor Titov, who is director of the Moscow Boeing office.

For the third consecutive year now Novosibirsk students have become prize winners of this US corporation for contribution they made to aircraft building development.
