Hairdressers of Rostov-on-Don burn cut hair in crematory

There is a very curious piece of news coming from the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don. The hairdressers and beauty salons are now supposed to burn the hair they cut in the crematory, on the northern cemetery. They thought at first it was a rumor, but the regional health service confirmed that this is true.

This rule was first introduced back in 1972, but since the crematories did not have the requisite capacity, the hair was burnt at a city dump. Now, the hairdressers are to conclude contracts with the crematory in order to utilize the wastes.

However, the barbers will not have to go to the cemetery every other day (lucky them), for this work will be done by those who work at the cemeteries. The health service is not really concerned about the moral side of the issue. Just imagine, hair and dead bodies are burnt in one and the same furnace. It has already become known that 150 hairdressers concluded contracts with crematories; those who decide to refuse will be fined.
