Russian Kamaz Wins Paris-dakar Rally's Sixth Stage

As Russia's Kamaz drivers Vladimir Chagin, Semyon Yakubov and Sergey Savostin covered 802 kilometres between the Moroccan towns of Ouarzazate and Tan-Tan in 6 hours 59 minutes and 43 seconds, they emerged first in the sixth stage of the Paris-Dakar rally, outstripping second Tatra-driver finalist from Czechia by 37 minutes. Last Friday they set out for the seventh stage across the Sahara desert to reach the Moroccan town of Zuerat 739 kilometres away from Tan-Tan. Before the super-difficult rally is over at the Pink lake in the vicinity of the Senegalese capital on January 13, the participants driving automobiles, motorcycles and 35 trucks will have to overcome another seven stages.
