First Two Stages of 2003 Ice Racing Finals to Be Held in Saransk

The first two stages of the 2003 Ice Racing Individual World Championship finals will be held in Saransk, the centre of the Republic of Mordovia, on February 15th-16th.

The Saransk championship organisers are the International Biking Federation, the Russian Biking Federation, the government of the Republic of Mordovia and the Lisma company.

Sixteen ice racers from six countries, including Russian 2002 champion Vitaly Khomitsevich, 2002 champion of the world and Europe Yury Polikarpov and Yunir Bazeyev, will compete in the ice races.

The third and the fourth stages will be held in Assen, the Netherlands, on March 8th-9th, and the fifth and the sixth - in Berlin, Germany, on March 15th-16th.
