Russian Junior Team Opponents Drawn for Portuguese Tournament

The press service of the Russian Football Union has announced that Russia's junior side will face the USA, Portugal and Slovenia at a tournament to be held in the Portuguese city of Santarem.

Andrei Chernyshov's charges will play their first match against the USA on January 21st and depending on the result, they will either go through to the final or the third place play-off two days later.

Chernyshov has selected the following players for the Santarem tournament:

Goalkeepers: Maxim Kabanov (Fakel Voronezh), Sergei Ivanov (Zenit St Petersburg);

Defender: Alexander Anyukov (Krylya Sovetov, Samara), Alexander Belozerov (Lada, Togliatti), Denis Kolodin (Uralan, Elista), Alexander Gorin (Torpedo, Moscow), Ruslan Nakhushev (TsSKA, Moscow), Igor Vtyurin (Fakel, Voronezh), Ramil Shagiakhmetov (Mostransgaz, Moscow);

Midfielders: Oleg Trifonov (Rotor Volgograd), Amzor Ailarov (Spartak Alaniya, Vladikavkaz), Vladimir Bystrov (Zenit, St Petersburg), Alexei Mitkin (Fakel, Voronezh), Sergei Smirnov (Mostranzgas, Moscow);

Forwards: Ivan Sayenko (Karlsruhe, Germany), Sergei Vinogradov (Krylya Sovetov, Samara), Vitaly Volkov (Torpedo, Moscow), Timur Khamitov (Mostransgaz, Moscow), Vladimir Lishenok (Irtysh, Omsk).

The Russian side will fly to Portugal on the eve of the tournament, on January 20th.
