Two Russians make it into ATP list of ten best tennis players

Two Russians made it into the first version list of the 10 best tennis players compiled by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

Austrian Stephan Koubek became the leader in the championship race having won the tournament in Qatar and delivered 50 points into his "moneybox".

The second place is occupied by Nikolai Davydenko, winner of the tournament in Adelaide (Australia). He scored 35 points. American Dan-Miguel Gambella and Paradorn Shrichaphan form Thailand celebrated their victories at tennis tournaments played at the end of the last week and scored the same number of points.

Further down the list of the ATP 10 best tennis players a tight group of sportsmen is present. Belgian Kristof Vliegen with 25 points occupies the fifth position, Slovak Karol Kucera got one point less. Two players with 22 points each take the seventh place: Russian Mikhail Youzhny and Moroccan Yunes El Aynaoui. At the end of the list of ten best players are Argentinean Juan-Ignacio Chela and Richard Krajicek from Holland (15 points each).

On Monday, January 6 the best tennis players of the world will join the struggle for the top place in the rating list. Marat Safin, Roger Federer and others will play at the "Adidas International" tournament.
