7th World Russian National Council to gather in Moscow December 16-17

The 7th World Russian National Council will gather in Moscow on December 16th-17th to be blessed and attended by Patriarch of Moscow and All-Russia Alexy II. The council will discuss "Faith and Labour: Spiritual and Cultural Traditions and Russia's Economic Future." According to the foreign ecclesiastic ties department of the Moscow Patriarchy, the council hearings in the hall of the ecclesiastic councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour will discuss the results of the recent political and economic reforms, the state and prospects of the national economy and its moral tenets.

The participants in the council will try to assess new opportunities and threats posed by economic globalisation.

Specific sections will work on the sidelines of the council: "Labour, Social and Economic Relations and Morals," "National Industrial Policy as a Way to Russia's Economic Prosperity", "Spiritual-and-Moral and Cultural Tenets of the National Economy." Participating in the council will be representatives of state high-profile bodies, leading politicians, trade union and public figures, famous scientists, military commanders, hierarchs and the clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church, representatives of other traditional religions in Russia.
