Moral compensation for mayonnaise

A Russian citizen from the Moscow region appealed to court to call to account a mayonnaise producer, Baltimore Moscow, and for a 5 thousand ruble compensation of his moral damage. The man says, the company used an unreliable advertising of the product and misled the customer.

The consumer claims that he bought the mayonnaise after a really very aggressive commercial on TV. The slogan of the commercial said, the product’s quality was the best ever desired. And the customer bought the mayonnaise as he really hoped the advertising met the actual quality of the product. However, when he tasted the product, he was disappointed to understand that quality of Baltimore’s Provencal mayonnaise was the same as of other producers. The suer says, the company broke the article #7 of the Russian legislation on advertising and several articles of the Law on consumer rights protection when it used this unreliable commercial and said the quality was the best of the best.

To compensate the grave moral damage, the customer demands that the company should pay 5 thousand rubles. No court decision was allowed yet. On the contrary, the suer is obliged to present a receipt to confirm the purchase of Baltimore mayonnaise and explain, what moral damages exactly he suffered because of it.
