Gelendzhik hosting IV international 2002 Hydro Air Show

The Black Sea health resort of Gelendzhik (the Krasnodar Territory) is hosting the IV international Hydro Air Show-2002 which opened on Wednesday, September 4th. 126 organizations and companies, producing hydro air machinery, from 8 countries are taking part in it. Among them are Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. More than 40 various kinds of planes of rescue and fire hydroaviation and amphibian machinery are displayed at the air show and demonstration flights.

"This is a unique and the world's only show of hydroaviation and amphibian machinery," Rosaviakosmos first deputy director general Stanislav Rynkevich said while opening the show.

"Russia has done a great work since the previous hydro air show. We have received certificates for new Russia hydro planes Be-200 and Be-103. This is an immense success. More than 2000 enterprises have been developing them. The Beriyev Aviation Research Complex in Taganrog, the Irkutsk Aircraft Production Association, the Aviation Equipment Research Institute, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association and others did their best," said the representative of Rosaviakosmos.
