More than 26,500 people have gone through managerial personnel school of training

The state plan for the training of managerial personnel for the Russian economy is being carried out in keeping with the Presidential decree of July 23, 1997. Taking part in the program are the heads of Russian enterprises under the age of 40 having a higher education, as well as servicemen retired in connection with the military reform.

Within the framework of the program the contenders selected on a competitive basis, take a 5-6 month-training period at Russian educational establishments in the specialities "management", "marketing," "finances and credit," and also improve their knowledge in a foreign language.

After finishing that training "with due account for the results achieved" the participants in the program are given the chance of taking courses of training at the respective foreign enterprises, which last from 3 weeks to 3-4 months.

Between 1997 and 2002, more than 26,500 people were sent to courses of training from all the members of the Federation.

As many as 48% of the trained managers are from small businesses, 52% are from major and medium-size enterprises, 40% are top-level managers, 33% are medium-level and 27% are ordinary managers.

During these years more than 6,000 specialists were sent abroad to attend courses of training at enterprises in the respective field, of whom over 1,800 were sent to Germany.
