International Festival of Contemporary Experimental Music Begins in Naryan-Mar

The international Minimor festival of contemporary experimental music has begun in the city of Naryan-Mar, the capital of the Nenets Ethnic District. According to the district administration, the participants include groups from Russia, France, Japan, Sweden, Finland, and Morocco. The festival is organised by the French AMI association supporting innovational music all over the world and the administration of the ethnic district.

This is the first time such festival is held in the Nenets district. Besides concerts, the programme includes a seminar for managers and lighting professionals. The festival will last through September 7. A decision has been made to hold another such festival some time next year.
