N`Sync leader not to fly to ISS

The Russian Aviation and Space Agency Rosaviakosmos declared that LanceBass, leader of the N'Sync pop group, would not participate in a flight tothe International Space Station (ISS) and his training for this flight atthe Gagarin training center had been stopped. According to the pressservice of the Space Agency, Bass has not fulfilled the contract'sprovisions. Currently the question of sending a container with cargo forthe ISS instead of him is being considered.As it was reported earlier, Bass was included in a crew, despite problemswith the financing of this tourist project. The singer was training in theZvyozdny Gorodok (Star City, an astronaut training center) in Russia sinceJuly of this year. He was to become the third space tourist after USmillionaire Dennis Tito and South African businessman Mark Shuttleworth whohad paid some $20m each for their flights. Bass's participation was to bepaid off by his producers. The main sponsor was to be Destiny Productions,which planned to use Bass's movie records in its movie.
