The State Duma Committee proposes to ban the "propaganda of non-traditional relations" in Russia, regardless of age. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Alexander Khinshtein in his Telegram channel.
The MP recalled that the ban on LGBT propaganda legally applies only to children. In his opinion, this is not enough.
“Relevant initiatives had already begun to be worked out by the State Duma Committee on Information Policy. In the autumn session, we will be ready to hold an open discussion on them,” Khinshtein said.
The parliamentarian also said that the committee proposes in general to completely ban the spread of "propaganda" and establish administrative liability for violating the ban. In addition, the deputies called for a tougher responsibility for the promotion of pedophilia.
According to Khinshtein, these initiatives have been worked out with Roskomnadzor and the Ministry of Digital Development.
“I consider this task extremely important: not only as the chairman of the relevant committee of the State Duma, but also as the father of two sons,” he concluded.
