Italian pianist Daniele Alberti to give solo concert in Moscow

Famous Italian pianist Daniele Alberti will give a solo concert at the Opera Singing Centre of Galina Vishnevskaya on Tuesday.

The programme of the forthcoming concert includes "Petrarch Sonnet" and "Oberman's Valley" from the series "Years of Pilgrimage" and "Funeral March" from the series "Poetic and Religious Harmonies" by Franz Liszt and a concert paraphrase on the theme of Verdi's opera "Rigoletto".

Daniele Alberti is a laureate of numerous national and international contests and successfully performs at the most prestigious concert halls in London, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Madrid and other capitals. Since 1990 he has been regularly cooperating with La Fenice di Venezia chamber orchestra. The pianist debuted in Moscow in spring 1999, when he performed a programme of Chopin and Liszt's compositions at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. In autumn 2002 Pope John Paul II invited Alberti to give a solo concert in the Vatican.
