Exhibitions of Moscow museums timed to Days of National Property in Paris

Hundreds of Parisians will attend the luxurious residence of the Russian ambassador to France at the Rue de Grenelle on Saturday and Sunday. On this weekend, when the Days of National Property are being held in France, almost all the buildings of historic and architectural interest, including public offices, will be open for visitors.

It is obvious that the order of extraterritoriality applies to the residence, and the open access here is the good will of the Russian government. Certainly, it would be wrong to conceal this pearl. The residence, built by architect Robert de Cotte for Duchess d'Estrees, the spouse of the Marshal of France, in 1711-1713, is one of the singularities of the French capital.

In addition, the open days can acquaint Parisians with Russian history and culture. Exhibitions of the leading Moscow museums, timed to the Days of National Property, are being held here for the sixth time already. The Museum of the City of Moscow and the Museum of Vasily Tropinin and Moscow painters of his circle have deployed their expositions here this time. These exhibitions will last till September 27.
