New Year comes in September

Dear Friends and Colleagues, Congratulations with the coming year of 5763. Saying our traditional Hebrew wish of good and happiness, I am perfectly sure that we all deserve a good and sweet New Year. The passing year has become an ordeal for the Jewry of the whole world: our brothers and sisters risked their lives being targets for Palestinian terrorists, and our communities in Europe suffered from outrage of contemporary anti-Semite. Our losses and privations merged into common pain, which we have spoken out at the actions of solidarity organized everywhere we work and live. I believe, the Most High will give consolation to families and friends of those who had fallen victims to raging anti-Semitism and bind the souls of the fallen together with the just. I wish that sorrow would never enter our homes in the New Year and we have more happy reasons to enjoy our Hebrew community. A New Year is the beginning of the highest justice on each of us. And I want that a verdict passed on you on the judgement day would be the blessing of the Most High. I wish good health, prosperity and welfare to you and your families. I hope that the Eurasian Jewish Congress is a real basis for you which will increase good deeds for the welfare of the Hebrew people. Sincerely yours, Eurasian Jewish Congress President, Alexander Mashkevich Translated by Maria Gousseva Read the original in Russian: https://www.pravda.ru/cis/2002/09/06/46704.html
