Anastasia Myskina is, as before, No.1 woman tennis player of Russia. This became known after the new rating list of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) was published on Monday. According to it, Myskina has retained the 12th position which is the best result among the women tennis players of Russia.
No changes have occurred in the top trio of the rating list. One of the sisters William, Serena, is the leader with 6,099 points, followed by her elder sister Venus (4,844 points). The third position is held also by a U.S. representative, Jennifer Capriati (3,706 points).
Alongside Anastasia Myskina, nine other Russian women tennis players figure in the list of the world's 100 best players: 18. Yelena Dementyeva, 21. Tatyana Panova, 30. Yelena Bovina, 34. Anna Kournikova, 38. Yelena Likhovtseva, 45. Svetlana Kuznetsova, 51. Vera Zvonareva, 70. Dinara Safina, and 79. Alina Zhidkova.
