Diamonds from Russia with love

A British widow discovered 1 million pound sterling in the safe deposit box of her deceased spouse in a Swiss bank.

The find was a complete surprise to the woman whose name is not being disclosed. The deposit box contained a small box with 77 diamonds in it. The inscription, written on the box by her husband, said: "From Russia with love." British jewellers confirmed the authenticity of the diamonds, one of which was 6 carats in size.

Being a businessman, her husband made frequent visits to Russia, where he might receive the diamonds as a result of a business operation.
