Moscow provides security for Liverpool fans

The security of the Liverpool football team and their fans is ensured by more than 100 Moscow policemen, the Main Interior Department said on Tuesday.

Over 2,000 policemen and Interior Ministry soldiers will be involved during the game of Moscow Spartak with Liverpool.

The match will be attended by about 10,000 viewers, including 500 fans of the English team. Cynologists will check the stadium and nearby areas for explosive devices before the match.

Police patrols will be reinforced in metro stations and other places where crowds of football fans could gather.

As usual, heavily drunk fans will not be admitted to the stadium. Items which can be used as arms, pyrotechnics and drinks in glass bottles will be confiscated before the match.
