The final stage of the Miss America 2015 beauty pageant was held in Atlantic City. The winner of the competition is a daughter of immigrants from Russia - 23-year-old representative of the State of New York, Kira Kazantsev, ITAR-TASS reports.

The girl received the crystal crown from the hands of New Yorker Nina Davuluri.

The winner of this year's contest was born in California, but has been living in New York for the last several years. The girl studies at Hofstra University and dreams of becoming a lawyer specializing in international law. Under the terms of the contest, the winner receives a monetary prize of $50,000.

The New Yorker of Russian origin made ​​an impression on the judges not only with her appearance, but also but her rendition of Pharrell Williams song "Happy." The woman was sitting on stage with her legs crossed, taping the rhythm on a red plastic cup.
