Girl dies breathing air freshener

The Department for Investigations of the Avtozavodsky Districtof the city of Togliatti (the Samara region) filed investigation into the death of a 12-year-old girl, the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said.

According to preliminary reports, the child was walking near the apartment building with her peers. The child bought an air freshener spray, Interfax reports. "The girl started sniffing the air freshener through a plastic bag. After some time, she fell sick and collapsed," officials said.

The same evening, paramedics rushed the child to the hospital, where she fell into a coma and died the next day.
