In Kaliningrad, military man Arthur Vilgert was accused of causing more than 1.8 million rubles of damage to the Defense Ministry of Russia.

The serviceman hijacked a military vehicle for no particular purpose. Vilgert, in a state of alcoholic intoxication, left the army range ground, driving an infantry fighting vehicle (BMP- 2), to buy cigarettes in the nearby town of Pravdinsk. The drunk driver could not make a turn and slid into a ditch.

After unsuccessful attempts to return the BMP- 2 on the road, Vilgert decided to return to the range ground for another BMP-2 to use it for towing. While the soldier was away, a fire occurred in the vehicle. The damages was evaluated at 1.8 million rubles.
