A soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Ballet, Pavel Dmitrichenko, was convicted of organizing an attack against the artistic director of the theater, Sergei Filin, was sentenced six years in a colony.

In addition, the defendants on the case will have to pay Sergei Filin 3.5 million rubles (about $106,000).

After the acid attack earlier this year, artistic director of the Bolshoi Theatre Sergei Filin flew to Germany, where he received a number of operations. His eyesight has not been restored yet.

Besides Dmitrichenko, the actual attacker, Yuri Zarutsky and Andrei Lipatov, an unemployed individual, who also act as defendants on the case, were sentenced to ten and four years respectively.
