Man steals dog from two little girls to eat it

In the Kemerovo region of Russia, the police finished preliminary investigation of the criminal case filed against a man who is suspected of robbery. The man caused bodily harm to a child and then stole the dog, which the child was walking. The man intended to use the stolen dog for food.

The defendant on the case is a previously convicted 47-year-old resident of the town of Osinniki, officials said.

According to investigators, on August 8, 2013, the suspect, in a state of alcoholic intoxication, saw two girls, who were walking with a Labrador dog.

The man decided to steal the pet. He hit one of the girls, pulled the leash out of her hands and fled the scene with the dog.

The children told everything to their parents, who went to police. "The man was arrested, and the dog returned to its owners," the press release said.

During interrogation, the suspect gave a curious explanation for his act. The man said that he wanted to eat  the dog.
