Locomotiv Moscow to play champions league match in Turkey

On Tuesday, October 29th, Locomotiv Moscow will play with Turkish Galatasaray in Istanbul in the fifth round of the Champions League football tournament. In case of a defeat (Locomotiv earlier lost to Galatasaray in Moscow 0-2) the Moscow club will lose all chances to continue vying for honours in the Champions League competition, nor will it be able to claim third place in the group which gives the right to play in another tournament, the UEFA Cup.

A victory in Istanbul will certainly be the best variant for the railwaymen's squad. In this case it will score 4 points, and its chances to advance to the second group stage of the Champions League competition will perceptibly improve. But all the same Loco's fate will depend on the results of the other games in the group.
