The law enforcement authorities in Russia's Voronezh filed a criminal case against a previously convicted 25 -year-old resident of the city, accusing him of an attempt to hijack vehicles and cause intentional damage to them.
Being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, the young man made his way into the parking lot of a large car dealership salon and tried to steal six vehicles. The man penetrated into the parking lot through a hole in the fence. Driving away from the parking lot, the perpetrator damaged 22 Kalina, Priora and Niva vehicles.
When he failed to drive away from the scene, the man pulled the radio from one of the vehicles and headed towards the exit, where he was arrested.
The damage was evaluated at 3 million rubles.
