Russian female volley-ball player named best forward in 2002 season

Elizaveta Tischenko, a Russian female volley-ball player was named the best forward in 2002 season.

The FIVB (Federation International de Volleyball) headquarters reported that it had become known after the awarding ceremony of the best volley-ball players of 2002 international season that had taken place in Lausanne.

In addition to the title of the best female volley-ball forward, Elizaveta Tischenko got 100,000 U.S. dollars of the prize money.

It is notable that Elizaveta Tischenko was named the best female forward in most volley-ball competition of 2001.

The total prize money of the awarding ceremony of the planet's best volley-ball players was 1.6 mln. U.S. dollars. It was distributed among 14 male and female athletes from Russia, Italy, Brazil, the Argentine, Cuba, the USA, France, Portugal and South Korea.
