In Georgia,  a scandal erupted around President Mikhail Saakashvili, whom the local media accused of misuse of budget funds. According to Imedi, the Georgian leader spent money on Botox injections.

It was reported that in a U.S. clinic, Saakashvili made two surgeries. The first one was conducted in February 23, 2009 and cost the Georgian president $5,600. For the second operation, held in September 2011, the President paid $5,800.

In addition, it was reported that the President paid nearly six thousand pounds sterling for a nude portrait of an American actress and paid the accommodation of a female American entrepreneur at Radisson Hotel.
