Moscow Regional State Puppet Theatre performs in India

The Moscow Regional State Puppet Theatre performs "Masha and the Bear" in Delhi, where puppet theatres from seven countries are participating in the Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival.

This festival has been held since 2001 as an annual event, giving a platform to modern and traditional puppet theatre.

The Moscow Regional State Puppet Theatre is one of the oldest in Russia, founded during Soviet times, in 1933. The company showed "Masha and the Bear", a puppet version of the famous Russian fairy tale Goldilocks, in Bulgaria and Serbia, before performing in India.

The Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival in Delhi will run until the 16th of April 2013.
