Crews of the International Space Station and of Russian spaceship Soyuz TMA-1 meet on the orbit

The crew of the Russian spaceship Soyuz TMA-1, consisting of commander - Russian cosmonaut Sergei Zaletin, and two flight engineers - astronaut of the European Space Agency citizen of Belgium Frank De Winne and Russian cosmonaut Yury Lonchakov, at 9:28, Moscow time, on Friday, opened the hatches between the spaceship and the International Space Station.

A RIA Novosti correspondent reports from the Mission Control, the crew of the Soyuz TMA-1 has met the cosmonauts of the fifth permanent expedition on the ISS - Russian cosmonauts Valery Korzun and Sergei Treshchev and American astronaut Peggy Witson.

The crew members shook hands. The first to enter the ISS was the Belgian astronaut. Unlike his Russian colleagues, he is making his first space flight.
