Oldest person in the world dies in USA at 115

The oldest person in the world has died in the United States. An American of Italian descent, Dina Manfredini, who turned 115 years old, received the title in the Guinness Book of Records only about two weeks ago after the death of the previous record holder, 116-year-old Beth Cooper.

Most of her life, Dina was a housewife. The woman dedicated her life to her children. At a very old age, she started working as a cleaner in private homes. She had been doing it until she turned 90. It is worthy of note that Manfredini was living alone before she turned 110 - the woman did not need to he helped.

Now the title of the oldest person on Earth has moved to Dziremonu Kimura of Japan,  who was born only 15 days later than Manfredini - on April 19, 1897. Kimura is the last male who was born before 1900. Kimura was working as a postman for 40 years. Afterwards, he was working at his farm before he turned 90. Kimura now spends most of his time at home, but tries to stay in a good shape, getting up early and exercising on a stationary bike.
