In New York, a teenager stole an iPhone from a paralyzed individual, who needed the gadget for communication. The offender pulled the device from a special compartment in the wheelchair in front of the very eyes of the paralyzed man and fled. The thief was arrested without delay, according to NBC New York.
38-year-old William Washington, who suffers from cerebral palsy, used his iPhone as an opportunity to speak. The man can not walk, talk or use his hands without help. He saw the young man stealing the phone from the compartment of the wheelchair, but he could not do anything about it. The offender grabbed the gadget and ran away.
Washington used the device to type messages on the iPhone, which would then be voiced from the phone using a special technology. The victim told NBC News that he felt helpless and "damaged." He had to use a bulky computer for the interview with the news agency.
The 18-year-old thief was soon arrested, but he had no iPhone with him. William Washington's friends promised to get a new device for the man soon.
