World famous circus artist from Colombia Mario Ceballos fell from a great height during his performance at the Great Moscow Circus on Vernadsky Prospekt. Initially it was reported that he had received a spinal fracture, but it was later said that artist avoided serious injuries.
Ceballos was examined at Moscow's Botkin Hospital. On Friday, he will perform on the arena again, as the "spinal fracture" diagnosis has not been confirmed.
"Mario fell as he was performing a unique stunt. He completed the performance, and then turned to doctor with symptomatic pain. Mario was sent to the Botkin Hospital for a more detailed examination. Doctors did not find any serious injury; he was allowed to go home. On Friday, he will perform on the arena of the circus again," an official spokesperson for the circus said.
According to Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, Mario Ceballos is a star of extreme sports and circus, he is a specialist in the stunts with the use of motorcycles. The artist performs his numbers without wire. One of his mind-blowing stunts earned him an entry in the Guinness Book of Records, Echo of Moscow radio station said.
It turned out that Ceballos started working at the Moscow Circus not that long ago. He wrote on his page: "On September 22, I will start working in the beautiful Great Moscow Circus on Vernadsky Prospekt." The profile of the artist says that he has "an extensive experience in circus shows around the world."
Mario Ceballos, in particular, is the director and a member of extreme number "Ball of Courage" and "American Wheel." He is a gold medalist of the Moscow International Circus Festival.
