Aging US politician to tie the knot with his partner

US Congressman Barney Frank is going to tie the knot with his boyfriend. The US politician is 71 years old. The date and the venue of the wedding have not been exposed yet.

The first homosexual in the House of Representatives of the US Congress, who did not run away from his feelings, decided to wed his partner of many years, Jim Ready.

"I have a partner now," the Democrat said in an interview earlier this month. "I'm in love for the first time in my life."

Frank's fiancée is 42. He lives in Main, owns a photo studio and reportedly works as a photographer, GayRussia.ru reports.

Barney Frank became a Congressman from the Democratic Party in 1980. He came out as a homosexual in 1987, RBC says. For many years, Frank has been one of the main liberal voices in the US Congress. He acted as a co-author of the Dodd-Frank financial reform law to prevent the financial crisis in 2007-2009. US President Barack Obama praised the Congressman's work.
