Millionaire's son becomes $107 million richer through lottery

The son of the president of the chain of Marriott hotels proved that even millionaires could win lotteries. Brian McCarthy, 25, has recently won $107 million in a lottery.

McCarthy bought the lottery ticket in a grocery store in Virginia. From the prize of $107 million, the man will be able to receive a bit ore than $68 million.

"I jumped out of bed, poured my wallet out and looked at the numbers and I had the ticket. I'd like my family to be able to enjoy it as much as I can. And also help out some charities along the way,» he told ABC.

McCarthy has since left his account manager job at Pepsi and has already begun spending some money. He took a golf trip to Ireland, travelled to Alaska with his sister, and bought a $59,000 BMW M3. He also donated $25,000 each to two charities.

Mega Millions lottery is held across 41 states, in District Columbia and on USA's Virgin Islands. A lottery ticket bought in March 2011 in Albany, NY, won a record jackpot of $319 million.
